Made with premium 400gsm South African woven, core spun polycotton. This is real canvas at an impressive weight, worlds apart from the cheap polyester/oxford or Chinese canvas used on most awnings & wall kits sold in NZ. 
 
With real South African canvas you're constructing a quality enclosure that's enjoyable in real world use, not the greenhouse you get with plastic based fabrics.
 
The 270 wall kit comes with 3 additional poles needed to be used with the walls. 180 wall kit includes 2 additional poles.

Protection from the elements
 
These water resistant walls turn the awning into an ideal & quick to assemble outdoors shelter. However, they're not intended to be a full ground tent replacement. The PVC storm skirts are typically 300 to 400mm in length. If a full floor is desired then add in a quality ground sheet. If a fully sealed and fully waterproof sleeping area (tent) is needed we have South African canvas ground tents coming - enquire.
 
Usage in Wind
 
The video showing the Weathershade awning withstanding gale force winds while freestanding is undoubtedly impressive. But don't assume it's practical to leave the wall kit up in high winds - common sense applies! If the wind comes up strong and the canvas is starting to flap excessively, take the wall kit down before it, or the awning, sustains wind damage.
